Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: October 22, 2026
At Beyond the Page, we believe that stories should be welcoming and engaging for everyone. We are committed to improving the accessibility of our website and interactive children's books so that readers, families, educators, and visitors with disabilities can enjoy our content.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We recognize that some features, particularly interactive elements and third-party reading experiences, may present accessibility challenges. We welcome feedback and will use it to guide improvements.
Our Approach to Accessibility
Beyond the Page strives to create an enjoyable reading experience for visitors with different abilities and needs.
We recognize that accessibility involves more than making text readable. It also includes how visitors navigate our website, interact with buttons, access multimedia content, and experience our interactive children's books.
We are reviewing our website and reading experiences to identify accessibility barriers and opportunities for improvement. Our goal is to make our content easier to access, understand, and enjoy.
Our Accessibility Efforts
Beyond the Page is working to make our website and interactive reading experiences more accessible to visitors with different abilities.
Our accessibility efforts include reviewing:
-
Readable content: Text size, color contrast, and layouts that support comfortable reading.
-
Website navigation: Menus, links, and buttons that are clearly identified and easy to use.
-
Keyboard accessibility: Whether visitors can navigate and interact with important website features without a mouse.
-
Images and illustrations: Appropriate alternative text for meaningful visual content.
-
Audio and video: Opportunities to provide captions, transcripts, or other accessible alternatives.
-
Interactive storybooks: Accessibility considerations for animations, clickable elements, sound effects, and other interactive features.
These efforts are ongoing. We have not yet completed a comprehensive accessibility audit or established conformance with a particular accessibility standard.
Third-Party Interactive Content
Beyond the Page uses third-party platforms, including FlipHTML5, to deliver interactive children's books and reading experiences.
These experiences may include animations, sound effects, narration, videos, clickable illustrations, and other interactive features.
Although we strive to make our stories engaging and accessible, some features are provided through third-party technologies that we do not fully control.
As a result, certain interactive elements may not work equally well with all assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Some sections of our website, including certain contact and newsletter areas, may require horizontal scrolling when viewed at higher browser zoom levels. We recognize that this can make navigation more difficult for visitors who use magnification or smaller viewing areas, and we are exploring ways to improve these layouts.
We are continuing to review these experiences and explore ways to improve accessibility.
If you experience difficulty accessing one of our interactive books, please contact us at bridgitt@beyondthepage.ai. We welcome feedback and will work with you to explore available alternatives or assistance.
